i am not buying it now,
i am not going to let that greedy american company get its way.

What's it being American having anything to do with it?

Around the Network

You appear to have what will happen between MW 2 and MAG reversed methinks.

themanwithnoname's law: As an America's sales or NPD thread grows longer, the probabilty of the comment "America = World" [sarcasticly] being made approaches 1.

lolwut? Modern Warfare 2 is still $59.99 here in the U.S.

Funny thing is, I imagine that the majority of video game players (casual or core) don't tend to bother surfing the internet looking for comments made by CEO's.

I'm guessing most people don't even know who the CEO of activision is.

I doubt MW2 sales will suffer drastically because of it.

In fact, so long as MW2 is an amazing game, I think the only loss in sales will be from overzealous PS3 fanboys who stubbornly cling onto the idea that by not buying this game, they're somehow helping Sony.

Also, I'm not sure that many (if any) people were thinking "haha screw you activision" when the PS3 slim and price drop was announce. I'm fairly sure the reaction was "ZOMG Playstation is about to dominate again!".

First off let me start off by saying...This game WILL have massive sales no matter what Happens...But it could have done much, much more if Activision knew how keep their mouths shut, and to keep the CONSUMER in mind before making a pricing decision.

A few weeks before the Slim announcment Activision came out and publicly said

"If sony doesnt announce a PS3 Pricecut soon we will have to consider development outside Sony Consoles."

And not long after that, they went out and told everyone,

"Hey we're pushing the price of MW2 up on all platforms!" (54.99 in the UK...Thats around $90 USD)

And of Course...M.A.G.

Theres a few things wrong Here...

Activision left themselves open to embarrasment, and Sony capitalized when they announced the PS3 Slim along with a $100 pricecut for all current PS3 models whilst simultaneously some Sony Representatives have gone on record saying M.A.G. will go down as the definitive shooter of this Generation, an obvious shot at the Call of Duty franchise...

M.A.G. Will also launch at a price of 59.99 USD ($30 cheaper than MW, And a probable Headset along with it):--- This is not good forMW2 on the PS3 front...Many sony fans didnt appreciate Acti's words against the PS3, and has been one-up'd in every way by Sony's M.A.G. (With the exception of a slight graphics edge)

Now dont get me wrong, COD MW2 will still sell incredibly good on all platforms...but it could have done so much better, if they would have played their cards right...particularly in Europe.

Comedy..pure and simple!
