Exactly - and if you're not a booth babe but "just" a woman who works for a gaming company, you have to to look like this to be accepted by gamers (granted though, Jade Raymond is a beauty...).

People rarely make fun of the looks of people like - say - Gabe Newell or Steve Ballmer.

If Cammie Dunaway looks creepy, behaves strangely or is false - that's what people stated in this thread - my vote in all three sections definitely goes to Steve Ballmer. Most annoying person in this industry in my opinion, Cammie Dunaway doesn't even come close.

That's ridiculous. You don't have to be an attractive woman to be respected in the gaming industry, you just have to do your job well. And did you really just claim that nobody makes fun of the looks of Gabe Newell and Steve Ballmer? Did you see the several page long "Gabe Newell is Fat" thread, and the popular Youtube video of a sweaty Steve Ballmer saying "developers" repeatedly?

No, I didn't claim nobody makes fun of the looks of Newell or Ballmer, I said rarely. Youtube videos about Ballmer exist and I've seen the ridiculous thread about Newell, but in no way Ballmer (a CEO) was blamed for the things he said or did in forums as many times as Cammie Dunnaway (a marketing person) is blamed for all her "failures" even a year after E3 2008.

The idea that they're rarely made fun of isn't true either. Gabe Newell and Ballmer do their jobs pretty well. Newell hasn't said anything that stupid or over the top (he's said some negative things about the PS3, but they're not a big Valve fanbase anyways), and he's worked with Valve in making some great games. Ballmer has also done great things for Microsoft. Cammie had a really simple job at E3, and she made a lot of gaffes. Plus, she works in marketing. That certainly didn't help.

And your last sentence is what justifies the gif you posted in this thread and why you think she deserves so much hate, even one year after E3 2008?

I never gave them ratings, that would be on a number scale. We used to have a guy who did that. I wonder what happened to him.

The gif was a joke. It was in OkeyDokey's signature for a long time, and still is. A sense of humor might help here. And people still ridicule Kaz Hirai for what he did at E3 2006. Cammie made a terrible and embarrassing performance. It's not just going to be forgotten a year earlier, especially when it happened at one of the world's biggest gaming conventions.

Actually, she can and she did, you just didn't noticed... Remember that she did wonders in marketing for Frito Lay for 13 years, and she's one of the people responsible for redesigning Yahoo after Google started to take the lead in search engines... That's why she's in Advertising Age's Top 100 marketers, and that's also why Nintendo hired her as Reggie's replacement in sales & marketing...

The thing with her is that her best work is off-camera and off-stage, in the background, or doing interviews... But when she jumps on stage she turns really annoying, whether she's being serious or trying to be fun...

and E3 2009, she SUCKS as a gamer.

They still should have found someone else because Nintendo knows in the gaming biz you need someone with stage presence that gets people to want your products,Reggie when he held the posistion did that and still does as pres of NOA.

She fumbles around pisses people off and just annoys.  If she is so good behind the scenes then keep her there and just let Reggie sell it.  Reggie is Nintendo's on stage Steve Jobs because not only does he help run things but when he talks people listen.  When Cammie talks people want to get out of the room like the final moments in the film Carrie.

I like her, but her presentations to the casual crowd appeal to me. I also like that during E3 she tries to establish common grounds with families, not just core gamers.
