I find almost every race game boring. But I do enjoy games like Mario Kart and Crash Team Racing.

I am looking forward to Joyride. But that's hardly a traditional racer.

Why does it "blow you mind"?? it's not like all ppl hate racing games....every 1 has different taste.

both series are the equivalent of chloroform for me, i own Forza 2 and i've never been able to put myself beyond the first couple of races, same happened with GT3 and 4, i really dont like racers, with the exception of MK, Diddy and F-Zero, but at least most of them arent so boring as this two

I'm not a fan of racing game... but I do like watching TOP GEAR on the BBC (best car show in the world !).

Now I feel like trying to be as (virtually) good as the Stig thanks to GT5.

One thing is true, you have to like that kind of game before buying...



 

Evan Wells (Uncharted 2): I think the differences that you see between any two games has much more to do with the developer than whether it’s on the Xbox or PS3.

Not a big fan of sim racers myself. I played one GT game for a couple of races at a friend's house and found it very boring. I'm a MK, F-Zero type of guy.

I respect what these kind of racers try to accomplish but they just are not my thing, although I will still pick up GT5 at some point for when my Brother comes over. He has always been a GT fanatic.

Personally though, I would much rather play a game like Mod Nation Racers any day of the week.

The racing titles you enjoy are called arcade racers. They are not realistic at all however Gran Turismo and Forza are more inclined on the sim side. Personally I like the latter to the point that I purchased a console just for Gran Turismo 5.

If you like cars chances are that you will like Forza and Gran Turismo.

Koenigsegg CCX. It has only been my favorite super car since 2006 ;)

When they gonna release the next model.. They did a Bio fueled version with over around 1018HP called the Koenigsegg CCXR but really it's the same car with some engine modifications.

It has only been in PGR4, I think it may have been in GRID but I didn't like GRID and I never played Race Pro.
