Neither do I. Speacially because MP3 is not a FPS...

i can see why you would say that... its not like you are in first person and shooting

So, any game where you're in first person, and shoot, is a FPS?

Nice to know... I'll bookmark to use it in many discussions from now on :)

i dont have any issue with the older metroids or the previous metroid primes...but the third one was trash. idk how other wii fps are...but the controls from this one make me think the wii isnt good for anything but an on rails shooter. really boring and gimmicky too...had to force myself to finish it.

btw ryudo, the bioshock analogy doesnt make any sense. if it wasnt good then it wouldnt have any fans, since its the only bioshock they couldnt have built a fan base for it. and while you may be an idiot and a troll, you really shouldnt go around calling yourself that. makes you look crazy.

That's very odd logic.

So Metroid Prime 3 fans don't count because it is already a franchise and they have to like it? You realise you yourself disprove that theory by liking the older ones but not Corruption. And there are many others who view MP3 as equal to/greater than/ not significantly less than MP1 and 2. In fact the omst common ranking I have heard is MP1 > MP3 > MP2

And what about me for instance... I loved MP3...  and I had never played a Metroid game before.

ive no idea what you are talking about...

he said that the bioshock fans didnt like bioshock so they were making another one to appease them.  since its the first bioshock, fans will be created out of those who enjoyed the game.  there are no previous games to create fans.  if they didnt like the game, they wouldnt be fans.

Dazkarieh is right here, the Prime series is in the First Person Adventure genre.

I don't see how pointing at on screen enemies and shooting is any more gimmicky than moving a stick around with your thumb and shooting either. If you like one over the other then that's fair enough but don't call new products gimmicky just because you don't enjoy it as much.

I didn't like it because it was too much of an FPS compared to previous Metroid games. I loved Prime/Prime 2 and Super Metroid because of their exploration elements.

I don't think Prime 3 was as inspired as the first two - level design was linear, the plot was repetitive with American voice acting I disliked, the art direction was poor (everything looked the same, same problem the Conduit had) and it only had one good piece of music [Skytown] when the previous two games had lots of music I liked.

The controls were well done but the lock-on wasn't good enough, especially on bosses (kept missing).

If you want a generic 'space marine' FPS, there are tens of other franchises where you can get it. There is only one Metroid franchise and I don't want to see it taken over by that genre. Even Other M looks too focused on the action rather than the exploration for me, though I'll wait until the reviews of course.

If the developer says it's an First Person Adventure, then it's a first person adventure.
