The Wii is obviously a more powerful hardware than the PS2 and is capable of better graphics than the PS2 but it has yet to prove it. I still haven't seen one and I own both consoles. I'm not having a biased or ignorant view point.

The differences between the games ultimatly doesn't matter if you are to analyze the graphics. It still looks better whatever the game is and whatever the genre is and that's the goal of the thread.

It seems you do not own any PS2 games looking at your game collection so I wonder how you can compare both.

Let's hit a few points:

For example, The Wii version of RE4 looks better than the PS2 version.

I don't own a PS2, but I do game at friends' houses as well. I've clocked many hours of both playing PS2 and watching my friends play the latest and greatest games (god of war 2, RE4, etc) Don't assume that I've not clocked hours on games or consoles not listed in my profile.

If you want to backtrack to last gen alone, it was touted that Lord of the Rings: Two Towers had the best visuals on the GameCube, despite the Xbox being more powerful. So, depending on the game, it might be possible for the weaker hardware to post really good graphics.

Honestly, if you want to have a true comparison, try Mushroom Men on the Wii, or check out Monster Hunter 3 on it when it comes out. These are some good examples of the Wii pushing graphics above what the PS2 was/is capable of.

The original question seems more like a troll/flamebait attempt than anything else. It's like asking "Which has better audio quality - Cassette tapes or DVDs?" The answer is clear.

Yeah, and all of the Sony trolls in this thread are saying "Well, AC/DC was on casette, and the Jonas Brothers are on CD, so cassette is far superior". (I changed your sentence up a bit, but I think it is more clear now, since we're talking about audio.

dude cassettes most definitely. I mean CD's have clearer sound but anything analog is just, deeper. Seriously though, Wii all the way better than the first Xbox to. in fact nes>Ps2

I didn't know the PS2's native resolution was 1024*768 and that it supported resolutions up to 2560*1920.  It is indeed stronger than the Wii.
