Thats the problem.  He is a fan with a goal first, and above all else.  And its by this circumstance that he then trys to always build arguments to maintain the goals of a rabid fan, rather than to first consider facts and then come to a conclusion from those facts.  He always starts with the conclusion first.  And there is no denying when he is proven wrong on something his M.O. has often been to disappear for a bit and then come back spewing the same crap anew in a different thread.  Its simply not honest discussion when dealing with him.  Of course there are going to be other rabid folks out there that will view him as a hero of sorts, why?  Because in the end its about a cause (or cult?) and folks like you will get off on when he seems to get a "win" for "your side".

At least now on the bright side Sony has done good work with the Slim it seems, which makes this Sony stockholder very happy to see.  Maybe Sony will now start to make true reality be something closer to the picture MikeB likes to always paint.  Hopefully that will be good for my stock in the long-term and better for the gaming market for all of us that are gamers first.

Then I probably didn't consider my opinion wrong or crap. That's not to say I don't make mistakes, but usually when I agree I just thank for the correction.

For example in this thread there are people who say I have been proven wrong about how many units I expect the PS3 to sell during the upcoming 7 years. I simply don't agree, IMO it's still to be seen how close I will be with this prediction when those 7 years have past.

You in your first comment here at VGChartz referred to my comments as `madness`, just for me stating that I think it is possible for the PS3 to overtake the 360 install base by 2010.

You are here on a blind fanboy mission, instead of being interested in indepth discussion.

As you know I am mostly a tech enthusiast and thus interested in the PS3. I never owned a PS2, would prefer Philips over Sony if there was a choice with all things equal, etc. I am not really a games console or Sony fanboy.

I havent read more than the first 5 posts.

I will simply point out that MikeB has repeatedly claimed the PS3 will do 140 million console sales, and leave this ridiculous thread at that.

You make one common fanboy mistake here. "Thinks" or "anticipates" isn't the same as "claims".

There may be unanticipated events, like a major meteor strike, world war 3, idiots or aliens taking over Sony, etc.

Starcraft, for the record. You are horrible with regard to predictions and especially technical expertise.

Also, the X360 will not surpass 40 million units sold.

Granted Microsoft killed PC gaming efforts more than I anticipated, this to the advantage of the XBox 360 with many of top Microsoft published games not even hitting the platform.

But I expect Microsoft to return to PC gaming efforts with a coming Windows release as the XBox 360 is holding PC gaming back much from a technical perspective.
