Okamiden trademark provides a small glimmer of hope for an Okami sequel

"Nintendo Everything" discovered a new trademark called "Okamiden" in the Japanese database made by Capcom

Capcom already mentioned that they will maybe bring a sequel if the sales of the Wii version are satisfiable and why would they release this games so late in Japan without having any other aims?

 

But otherwise they also said that they are not interested in releasing a sequel..

I hope a sequel will be coming for the Wii with MP+ support. That would be so awesome.

I can only pray for an Okami sequel, that will also come to the PS3.

One of these days I'll open my copy of Okami Wii to see what all the fuss is about. I bought it like a year and a half ago.

What do I hate about modern gaming? I hate tedium replacing challenge, complexity replacing depth, and domination replacing entertainment. I hate the outsourcing of mechanics to physics textbooks, art direction to photocopiers, and story to cheap Hollywood screenwriters. I find it odd that they would do this game without Clover. There are a number of more commercially viable Clover series' to be made, Viewtiful Joe being at the top of the list. This game was never really viable.

 

That said, it would be excellent.
