Sorry if it's inappropriate, but I gotta do it:

What are the specs? If it's an Nvidia 8-series (e.g. 8600M) chip, the packaging material eventually will be damaged by the heat and you are entitled to a free replacement as Sony/Nvidia have admitted it's a manufacturing defect. This may apply to 7-series and 9-series parts although that hasn't been admitted yet.

maybe is dust, i once found a big hunk of dust in the fan.

i was just looking at this a couple of days ago, before i bought my dell studio. having it on your lap could block the fans from venting, so a cooling pad is proly your best bet. and not having it on your lap. you could get them at best buy for around 25, but you can find better deals elsewhere on the nets.

LAPtop.

I thought LAPtops could go on your lap?

Only consumers still call them laptops. The manufacturers all call them 'notebooks' or 'portables,' because none of them are built to actually work in a person's lap anymore without overheating or at least getting uncomfortable.

That's what happens when you try to cram the power of a desktop into a little, tiny case. IMO, the whole reason netbooks have been such a huge success is because notebooks have become massively overengineered for most people's purposes.

I have the same problem with my laptop.

Don't put it on your lap, its not good to do that.
If you do, put a pillow over it or something.
But try cleaning it out, which may require you to open the bottom.
