Forums - Sony - Have you bought another ps2 when ps2 slim was released?

Yes I have. The difference between the ps2 slim and the ps3 slim however is that the ps2 slim didn't dumb down the system by omiting functionality and quality for price. Which is why I won't be buying a ps3 slim.

Is there an easy way to transfer data from a Phat to a Slim? I'm not going to (My Phat has Backwards Compatibility), I just wanna know.

@ d21, well you can just swap the HDDs, but apparently it clears it when you move it from one PS3 to another... So it is not that easy

Yes. Because it was new and cool.

Actually, the PS2 slim lost some functionality. It had something to do with controllers (I forgot the exact issue).

Edit: Also, the original batches overheated REALLY quickly. (Like...5 hours)

I actually bought 2 PS2 phats
