Forums - Sony - GT5 to release shortly after GT PSP, says Yamauchi-san

Polyphony Digital bigwig Kazunori Yamauchi has revealed that Gran Turismo 5 will launch shortly after the release of the PlayStation Portable iteration of the venerable racing franchise.

At present, the team are busy polishing up GT PSP, which will be available on store shelves alongside the PSP Go on October 1. However, the developers are eager to get its older brother out not long after the handheld entry.

“[We're] just thankful that so many people are interested in Gran Turismo 5″, said Yamauchi-san, adding, “[It] should be out shortly after that date.”

GT5 has been on display all this week at GamesCom, with speculation building heavily to a pre-Christmas launch for the hotly anticipated racing title. PSU will bring you more info on this story as it breaks – for now, keep those fingers crossed we see the game in time for the holidays.

I am expecting the same. They usually announce GT main series game release date on TGS

I think the reason they didn't announce its release date til now is because it could dappen GTPSP sales

I can't wait for BOTH

What does shortly actually mean? But I still think December is most likely

December. ready for christmas sales.

it out by begining of the month its okay but then it will miss some of the sales, except for japan that have its holidays later.
