Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo's New Direction Version 2.0!! Now with 100% less stupidity!

snaking is a huge pain in the arse. The problem with snaking is it's impossible to beat someone who is snaking without snaking yourself. The advantage is just too much for the snaker. I don't mind advanced techniques giving you an advantage but the advantage shouldn't be such that a worse driver who just happens to know how to snake can beat a better driver who doesn't

About Mario Kart Wii......well, it's just that I am a purist.

Wouldn't a purist, you know, hate Double Dash since it went against the formula?

MK:DD was my first Mario Kart. I didn't like MK64 (*ugh* horrible physics)

hehe. you may want to change the title to "Now with 75% less stupidity!" :)

And as someone who'se never played Mario Kart DD and has only a bit of experience with the DS version, what exactly is snaking?

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

When you drift you can get a boost from it, repeatedly drifting down a straight and using the boosts is snaking. Amirite?

Havent figured out how to do it on the DS as of yet.

that's it.

On ds simply grab yoshi egg and start drifting and boosting left and right. I kept getting the feeling that I was wrecking the D-Pad doing it though...

I love mario kart, and have played GC and own 64 and DS versions, and i think this is a very welcomed addition.. i might use them, i might not.. i have a choice based on whether i like to use one or the other more, and it will be better to have more variation in the specs of cars when racing against others.. as you said, it really depends though on whether there is a balance of good and bad aspects of the bikes in comparison to the cars
