Forums - Nintendo - Namco: Wii can't handle Tekken 6, PSP can.

@axumblade: Oh really that's their reason? The producer never said that, he gave a false excuse, so it's funny how you come here to try and lecture people when you have no clue of what you're talking about.

I also forgot only the $50 would be just for the game. If you buy the CC just for one game, you need to get more games.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Wrong. I mentioned the costs of those systems as well. Try to actually read a point before you try to counter it.

"Apparently Namco found it to be less cost effective then making a PSP version of the game."

Where is it apparent? They did not say that here? It's not what the OP is calling on them for.

I can buy a 360 for less than the price of a Wii.

I think people are getting off topic. The point of this thread was to talk about how Namco is trying to cover it up with the "Wii can't do it isn't powerful enough" point as an excuse. It isn't about whether the game should come to Wii or not. They didn't say anything about Controls, or Profitability. They just said "Wii can't handle tekken". So everything else is irrelevant, and I don't see why people keep posting things like "it can't do the controls" or "they thought the PSP was more profitable".

"GamesCom: Geen Wii-versie voor Tekken 6, wel DLC"

Guitar Hero 5 is experimenting with DLC this year for SD cards but I think they are the only ones.

And the PSP, is getting DLC....because....it can support DLC being saved to its memory cards. x.o

All of this arguing that's been going on has been completely pointless. I can't help but laugh my ass off at all of it now. I should really pay more attention to the OP. Or perhaps the OP should pay more attention to the article. >_>

If you look at the bolded, that shows the opposite. That shows that the Wii CAN do DLC.

The Wii doesn't support DLC.

Tekken 6 will have DLC.

Therefore the Wii cannot support Tekken 6.

Maybe Tekken 7 if the GH5 attempt to put DLC on the SD card is successful.

That's the point of the article. The point of this thread is to cause hysteria because the person merely said the Wii can't handle DLC yet.

The Wii DOES support DLC. It is just developers don't choose to do it. If homebrew apps can be used from an SD card, DLC can also be used from an SD card. If virtual console games can be played from an SD card, so can DLC. It is the Publishers, and Nintendo's choice whether they should implement it or not.

@axumblade: The quote never implied the DLC part. You are making up excuses to cover your derailing attempts.

Besides the Wii can handle DLC.

So how about make the down loadable content on the disk?

I mean Namco already made people pay for DLC when they were just unlocking off the disk itself.

Or just release the game without it.

But that would be too hard now would it?

It's kind of funny that the people arguing for it being on the Wii (tres, Soriku, sc, Lord, Savior) all own PlayStation consoles but no Tekken games :P

Check my collection again. I can even bring up posts where I said something along the lines of "Smash Bros and Tekken are the only two fighters I ever really liked".  Also I'm not arguing for it being on Wii. I'm arguing that it is possible. That is the main topic of the thread anyway. Namco said the Wii can't do it, I say it can and they are using the excuse to cover up the fact they just don't want to do it. I think it is pretty sad when a company can't even blatantly say "We don't see any reason to put the game on console "X"."
