Forums - Sony - Sony: "Don't worry, we will NOT sell out, we have trucks"

I really hope Sony uses bigger trucks than this...

Around the Network

I agree greenmedic88, I have used my PS3 more than any other piece of entertainment equipment I have ever purchased.

Me and my girlfriend rent a watch a movie or two on the PSStore once or twice a week and I had a Netflix account long before they charged a premium for BD rentals, so I would rent all the BD movies I wanted for no additional fee right from the start. It was absolutely great.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

Well, I just changed the shipping on my order to two day shipping, and now I got an estimated delivery date of August 24-28. So I'll have my PS3 in roughly a week. Awesome.

@dirtysouthhustla--This isn't the PS2 YET, but it could be at some point. And to give you a little bit of an example of what could be happening in a lot of cases, I had NO plans to buy a PS3 until the price drop was officially announced and was officially going to happen. I thought Sony would step on their dicks yet again and do something stupid. (Like either not drop the price at all, do a faux price drop on the old models and leave the slim at $399, or some combination of both.)

But the price drop WAS for real, it WAS what all the PS3 fanboys were hoping it would be, and it also ended up being impossible for me to pass up. This was a home run for Sony. Their library of exclusives/future exclusives is now simply too good to ignore, the price is right, and the features are (mostly) there. I don't own one PS2 game, so I couldn't care less about the whole BC thing. I was considering all this, watching all my PS3 owning friends celebrate the price drop, watching the pre-orders shoot through the roof, and thinking, "All of a sudden, I really want to be part of this!! I want to play those games and watch me some BluRay!!!"

And so, I immediately became the proud pre-orderer of a new PS3 Slim. And I think a lot of people feel the same way. We've all had our 360s for years now, and many of us have been drooling over some of those PS3 exclusives but were fine with the awesome 360 exclusives too. Now that the upcoming PS3 library is looking a lot more exciting than the upcoming 360 library (unless you're a big Halo fan), the PS3 library is ripe for the picking. If you're a true gamer you would be a little foolish to turn your head the other way during all of this. If you really look at what's going on, you'll probably end up buying a PS3.
