I love classic games. All the ones I grew up playing. I just I could find my Arkanoid controller for the NES. That game was so freaking hard w/o it! Actually, it's hard with it too, because the game is hard, haha.
I remember playing Operation Wolf at the arcades way back. I used to love that Uzi on there. :) I never tried the console ver. though. I need to make some time to play more of the classic games.

Yes. NES, SNES and Genesis, among others, blow away any modern system. NES has more good games than every system made from 1995 on combined.

Yeah, I'd say I'm a retro gamer. We had an NES and a bunch of old games until they got flooded in Katrina. I still have my N64 hooked up, occasionally playing SM64 and MK64, and so far I've dl-ed Kirby's Adventures and Super Mario Bros. 1&2 from the Virtual Console. I just played the first MGS back in early August, as well.
I am a pretty big retro player. I like playing games that I played as a kid, but at the same time I like finding games that I didn't play back then and try them now. I don't have my collection with me right now(I just moved to go to college so it's at my parents' house) but I have about 250 NES games, 40 SNES and 30 N64.
My favorite game is either Mega Man 2 or Zelda: A link to the Past. They are both awesome games that I can always play again no matter how many times I beat them.
I really like having the systems and playing with the original controllers so playing roms on my PC isn't as satisfying for me...
