IGN review in a nutshell is v positive.

Great immersive stroy
Good Combat System
Joker exclusive download (PS3 only)
Leaderboards tied to Challenges
Fully fleshed out characters with hidden psych evaluations and riddles !
Incredible environments.

Only negatives

Poor lip synching in parts

Some screen tearing

Enemy AI can be a little weak at times

Graphically PS3 version slightly weaker (again)
When will developers sort this situation out !

Multiplats for god knows what reason always look subpar to their opposition. Either way getting to play as the Joker outways that negative for me. XD

Yeah just read the Joker add on review and it seems really worthwhile.

Outweighs the slight graphical differences if you ask me.

Day 1 for me.

You can find me on facebook as Markus Van Rijn, if you friend me just mention you're from VGchartz and who you are here.

Just pre ordered

The game uses the Unreal engine, which while it now runs okay on PS3 normally guarantees a slight edge for 360.  The difference ain't much - nothing anyone sitting playing is going to notice.

In the end I think most developers just don't see the justification for additional development cost to adapt a multiplatform engine to the PS3 architecture to get the best possible results so as a result the 360 (and any PC version) always has a slight edge.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

Sounds fantastic. I'll definitely be picking this up sometime.

Also a little envious of PS3 owners and the free Joker DLC! Any chance it'll come to 360 in the future?

ill probably check the demo, i remain sceptical of reviews so i will decide if its worth getting or not based on the demo.

I know it was just the demo, but I went ahead and played both PS3/360 demos at the exact same time (changing channels/720p component on both).  Load times were exactly the same.  Controls were slightly different (360 had better button placement, in my opinion, but this can be customized) but I was shocked to see that the PS3 version looked better.  There were more sparks on the cell door wiring, smoke and lighting looked slightly better, and the 360 version "shimmered" more.  I even looked at the character model trophies.  It's nothing noticeable unless you actually do a side by side comparison, but in the case of the demo, the PS3 was the winner.

Cool! The first good Batman game since the NES days!
