I think peer pressure is one of the biggest reason why xboxlive works with fees. They pay so they can play with their friends. So M. charges them because they are willing to pay.

@ Kowenicki - Thats what i said. The percentile of "friends" among kids that have a 360 over a PS3 are greater. And therefore more console buyers will have the 360 in mind when they finally go hunting for a console.
Its a great move by SONY but from a gamer point of view the Xbox comes out tops.
Its just got a shedload of great games for very little initial outlay.
The PS3 has a considerably smaller catalogue of games (growing all the time I admit) but at 249 GBP its still got a high price point.
If you're a film fan however who must have the greatest and the latest in tech then the PS3 purchase is a no brainer.
