So this betsy macaughey person comes onto the show and tries to make a decent healthcare bill look bad. In the process Mr. Stewart is sucessful in owning this woman.

So, you're trying to argue that the current healthcare bill is decent?

Umm, I just watched it, and no where was she owned. In fact, she seems to make very good points. Stewart usually takes his guests to the cleaners, as he is a brilliant man, but this is one of the rare interviews where he was not outclassing his guest.

His mistake I think, is calling the bill a Trojan Horse. That implies that the people who drafted the bill somehow have a hidden agenda to do harm to old people. This is not what she is saying. What she is saying, is the bill will have the unintended consequences of doing just that.

Stewart does a good job at what he does. But sometimes he succumbs to the same insulting way the fox news douchbags work. Maybe not outright, but certainly passive aggressively.
I do watch his show though, along with the colbert report.

Is this guy like an American Paxman?

Maybe?  His show is a fake news show.  If that makes any sense.

A lot of politicians and people with opinions go on it because despite being a fake show it's where a large portion of young people get the entirity of their news from.

As for the recent healthcare plan being decent.... uh.
