If it's any consolation, he spent 90% of the match beating the everloving shit out of Cena. Cena got lucky with a couple of hits. both of them were torn right open, blood all over the place, and Cena stopped after the match to say something to "if this is how I gotta go out, if I never see you all again, there's no place I'd rather do it than Chicago."

I'm confused. he mentioned something about having a fucked up arm and having to go on vacation immediately after the match. not sure if srs.

I may have to....borrow that PPV online.  Sounds awesome.

On an unrelated note, there's a lot of new WWE content on Netflix.  Documentaries on The Rock, Randy Orton, The King of the Ring, The Ladder Match, and more.  Good for reliving a bit of wrestling history and learning a little, too.  I REALLY enjoyed the King of the Ring compilation last night.

I actually wanna get that 'you think you know me' video...I dunno, something about Edge tickles me the right way (in a hetero way, not gay.) I always loved watching him, he was just beginning his meteoric rise to the top when I quit watching back in 2003/2004...and I missed the majority of his success during my 7-8 year hiatus, because I came back the day he had his last match. a real shame, and I'd love to see how he went through people, because wikipedia isn't enough.

I think the only real disappointment in this pay per view was the Big Show/Cody Rhodes Table match.

big show lost his title...by accidentally stepping down onto a table and breaking it. He set it down outside the ring, and he went to step down (completely of his control, cody didn't hit him or knock him down) to get another table, and he stood on a table...that broke under his weight....and that made him lose the match.

like...lolwtf?!

Cody didn't touch him?

In the past just running through a table yourself didn't count as a DQ.  They'd do it all the time with guys jumping off the top rope and going through a table when the other guy rolls out of the way.

well there was 5 minutes of fight beforehand but at the time Show stepped on the table and broke it, cody was pacing back and forth on the other side of the ring. it was a silly gimmick that woulda been funny on Raw or Smackdown..but on a pay per view?  this is why I don't pay for them,

Just watched this match on the King of the Ring DVD.  Simply amazing.  THIS is what the WWE used to be.  The whole compilation is full of awesome matches like this!

I miss those days so much.

man, I remember seeing that match live...was one of the best damn experiences ever. seriously. Shane McMahon was easily one of the best entertainers in the company's history, and I truly mean that. he may have not been a regular, but he's responsible for some of the company's most memorable moments.

Elbow Drop off the JumboTron at summerslam, falling off it when fighting Steve Blackman, and that fight right there with Kurt, not to mention he does a freaking shooting star press and jumps from one end of the ring to the other. Dude's a freaking frog!

Raw this week was awful. Getting back to the point where I don't feel like watching again.
