I think he was just setting up another Wrestlemania match for the WWE Championship.  Probably against Cena again next year.'

Maybe show up and win the Royal Rumble as a "shocker".  Then promo until Wrestlemania, maybe with Cena, not champion at that point working particularly hard, winning elimination chamber just so he has another shot at redemption.

the funny thing? I actually thought RAW was almost as good as wrestlemania. I thought the triple threat match between Santino Marella, Ziggler, and Swagger was better than a lot of the stuff at wrestlemania (only three WM matches outdid it), Kane and Randy are doing the same thing a second time, making their match at wrestlemania routine rather than special....

my only hopes for Wrestlemania 29 involve:

No Undertaker. He's a beast and a legend, let him go his own way. No need to have him in fights every year just to inflate his ego. 20/0 is a good ratio, time to move on.

No Stone Cold. again, he's awesome but his injuries have kept him from being a talent. Let him go his own way, much as I adored his work in his time.

Cena vs Lesnar

That was an amazing match...for fuck's sake, why aren't MODERN matches like that?  Too much rolling around and not enough WRESTLING!  even the Cena vs Rock match had way too much filler fluff to make the match longer. 

This is why I like Rey Mysterio, because he moves, dammit! I hate the heavyweights most of the time becuase it's all slow and lumbering nonsense that isn't that fun to watch.  

is this one of those "elitist" insider hate bullshit deals?  like "he's too entertaining, makes everyone else look bad" or something?  how could anyone hate him? 

Pretty much.  Kids like him so the internet wrestling community don't.  In Rey's case, I don't think it's deserved.  He's one of the few that got to the top because of talent and not because of microphone skills or physique.

I've never been a fan of rey mysterio personally. It's not that he's bad or anything, but he never really clicked with me and I don't find him to be too entertaining. I'm not going to go off an bash him though.

I've got to admit, I'm not a big Rey Mysterio guy either.

In WCW I loved him. I don't know, I just think he was caught up in that too good for mid card, not quite believable in the main event thing with me.

I could buy him as world champ, but they always seemed to match him up vs people where I wouldn't buy it for whatever reason.

Rey Mysterio vs CM Punk.  that would be an epic match!
