@Kasz216 it was 2010 that had Kendrik before he jobbed to Lawler. Punk was entertaining but Monday
felt so rushed. They could of kept this going till Survivor Series. WWE can't plan long term anymore.

Go Team Venture! I still don't get the Wii, PS Move,  and Kinect.

^^^I think the WWE had to rush about a months worth of storylines in order to set up CM vs Cena at Summeslam. Summerslam is supposed to be their second biggest PPV and Punk is their hottest commodity right now.

I believe/hope that Rey and Cena's victories on Monday end up being stricken from the records since the real champ is obviously CM Punk. The belt Rey won and Cena took doesn't have the legacy of the belt CM Punk is holding. Cena's belt is nothing more than a glorified King of the Ring title.

That and you can never tell how a crowd will react to a superstar off screen.

They probably figure "Hey we got this storyline igniting the base that a few people thought was actually real!  Better cash in now.

Also, CM punk interviewed by one of my favorite sports writers.

Anyone got a link to watch Summerslam?

So Alberto Del Rio was made the champion about four months too late...

Looks like we got ourselves a good ol' fashioned mystery. Kevin Nash took out CM Punk at Summerslam but, at who's request?

1.) Kevin Nash's motives: Slowly becoming irrelevant in the wrestling world, "Big Daddy Cool" took it upon himself to make himself know at possibly the biggest match of the year. But how could he have known that Alberto Del Rio would cash in the money in the bank contract following his actions?

2.) Vincent K McMahon's motives: Taken out of power and replaced by his son in law, Triple H, perhaps Vince has planned to take down the WWE from the outside. The tools at his disposal? Former WWE Talent. The same talent that created a "new world order" when they took down WCW back in the 90's. Nash said that, no matter who won the match, he was supposed to take them out. Vince has a problem with Cena (whose failure at Money in the Bank cost Vince his job) AND CM Punk (Whose victory at Money in the Bank cost Vince his job). Hmm......

3.) John Larenitis (or however his name is spelled) motives: Suddenly, this guy has been thrust into the spotlight. Why? Who knows. But what if he's always been waiting in the background? What if he's been waiting for his moment to strike? Perhaps Vince getting fired was John's doing. Perhaps this relatively unassuming man has big goals......goals to take down the entire WWE and make himself the top dog? Triple H is a wrestler. He'd be easy pickings for someone with JL's intellect.

4.) Stephanie McMahon Helmsley: Nash said he got a text from Triple H. Who else would have access to Triple H's phone besides Triple H? The same person that has access to his penis, that's who! Stephanie made the call to get revenge on CM Punk for his disrespect as of late. Hmm.......

5.) Triple H: Hunter Hurst Helmsley said, way before the event that he was going to make sure that, before the night was over, everything would go the way he wanted it to go and that there would be only one WWE Champion. Well, did he want Cena as champion--The guy that made him tap out at Wrestlemania? Or did he want CM Punk as champion--the guy that disrespected him and his wife AND cost his father his power? Being the special guest referee, Triple H was in the perfect position to make sure that everything happened the way he planned. Nash was there because Triple H invited him! A little too convenient, don't you think. When you need something done, you call on your friends. You call on your brothers. You call on "The Clique".

6.) Rikishi's motives: He did it for the Rock. He did it for the people. He did it for all of the Somoans that were never given their chance because of guys like Stone Cold Steve Austin. Wait. I may have gotten my angles mixed up.......

So, what do you think?

@ d21lewis I'm not sure exactly what is going on, but I do know about one thing. When Kevin Nash does the "everyone in the world knows that I'm not being honest but no one knows exactly what I'm being dishonest about" bit is when he's at his best.

Also, am I the only one that thinks that the WWE Championship belt has lost it's value? Between John Cena winning and losing the belt 500 times, Rey Mysterio becoming champ for like two seconds, the "two champions" thing, and Alberto Del Rio cashing in his Money in the Bank opportunity I am reminded of the final days of WCW. I expect David Arquette to get the strap soon.

I agree with everything except the "two champions" thing.  Two champions storylines are great.  Though this one was done in a rushed and dumb way.

I'd run a double champ storyline over 3 months or so... have a draw at summer slam due to dual countout, then have them each try and "prove" their championship worthyness by taking on challenges, like guantlet matches etc...

build it up to another PPV match where someone, probabably Cena is wrongly dqed for something.  Then have punk complain about how he should be champion, but Cena claim that championships can't change hands on a DQ, but Punk saying that the championship WOULDN'T be changing hands.

Have them face each other in a series of "Non-title" gimic matches on Raw while Triple HHH figures it out...

Then finish it off at a final PPV where one finally goes over clean.

Then bring in Nash if you want.

That all sounds pretty awesome. In my opinion, they rushed the return of CM Punk AND the resolution of the WWE title cenario.  They could have had months of excitement out of just those two stories, alone.  I think if Summerslam wasn't coming so soon, we would have.  The only thing I see wrong with your analysis:  Kevin Nash will probably die from hair color poisoning in less than four weeks.  They had to bring him in as soon as possible.

Good point.  I saw pictures of him at an Indy show before Summerslam and my first though was... "He bothered to dye his hair for an Indy show?"

Now I know why I guess.
