Really don't like how Vince destroyed WWE to further Lindas senate campaign. Really angered me. Turned a long-long time fan into not watching the programming at all.

I'm not quite sure how I feel about TNA dragging out the old ECW guys. These guys went out with a bang with the WWE's One Night Stand PPV's (the first two). I get the feeling that TNA's upcoming show will be more like the REAL ECW but I don't think these guys are going to still have the physical ability to carry a show. I mean the TNA/WCW/WWF Attitude era was well over ten years ago. Some of these guys weren't even young, then!
It'll be good for nostalgia but not much else, I bet.

Okay, so they are actually doing better financially than I thought (any links to that announcement?) - and considering the overall level of their product, that's nothing short of astounding IMO. Personally, I don't give that much credit to dirt sheet rumors that Alvarez, Meltzer, Keller and co. are so wont to spread - at least not anymore, and I tend to review matches when I see them and not before :p. I just see a ton of fundamental problems in TNA's product that have to be eventually addressed, otherwise it's always going to stand on shaky legs IMO - this ECW debacle-to-be is an example of those. |
Sorry to talk about the dirt sheets in my last post, I had assumed you were listening to that stuff, my bad :P
I can't remember exactly, but it was back in 2008-2009, Dixie Carter posted it on her twitter and did interviews with it, unless the Monday Night debacle ruined their cash flow (which could be possible, you never know) they are supposedly doing decent, not "we have tons of money" but not ECW "were barely making money to break even" either.
I searched around for the exact quote, but all I found was one from my "favorite website" (lol) the wrestling observer, so it could be made up. this was back in 2008 when TNA had a terrible show going on with the likes of Shark Boy, Black Reign, and Rellik (which is killer spelled backwards)

if they were this well then, at their critical lowpoint, I'd hope they kept it up with all of their international TV deals.

A shot at the WWE universe?
Nobody's perfect. I aint nobody!!!
Killzone 2. its not a fps. it a FIRST PERSON WAR SIMULATOR!!!! ..The true PLAYSTATION 3 launch date and market dominations is SEP 1st
RAW sucked last night, Cena/Jericho match was the only highlight last night. Everything else was boring.
I enjoyed Raw (still not buying Nexus as a real threat, though) and I laughed out loud at the Will Ferrel scene. I just hate that the WWE keeps bringing back Brett Hart. He's my all time favorite wrestler but he has no business near a ring at this point in his life. Maybe if he were managing the Hart Dynasty but wrestling? At a pay per view?
Team Cena is doomed, they lost Edge and Jericho. But at least those two seem to have reunited.
Raw overall wasn't as good as the others, the show was doing excellent for weeks. I hope it stays that way, but not every episode will always be good I suppose.

So Samoa Joe got suspended for 30 days because he was pissed at Jeremy Borash for announcing "thirty seconds left in the match" at the last episde of impact. He walked into the production truck and flipped out on all the producers, writers, etc... while it sucks that he is suspended, that crap shouldn't be allowed to fly on any level, and I'm glad he was suspended. A bunch of internet fans are pissed off and are mad at TNA, what is your opinions on the matter?
If Joe did what you say he did, spdk1, then he's lucky he wasn't fired. The performance and the suspension of disbelief is everything in pro-wrestling. No matter how good a guy is in the ring, he has to keep the illusion of reality going. Imagine if he was champion and pulled some crap like that. I like Somoa Joe, especially following his matches with AJ Styles and Kurt Angle a few years back and he's probably in the top 3 as far as X Division champions go but he's gotta maintain his composure for the sake of the fans.

I'm not happy that he got suspended, but, he should know better. Its going to suck not to see Somoa Joe for awhile.
