Donghae City in South Korea held the first Korean Invitation World Sand Sculpting Championship recently. That wouldn't be so remarkable, save that Sony decided that they wanted to join in.

The result is what you see above (via Siliconera), a massive PS3 sand sculpture, complete with accompanying PlayStation Portable and DualShock sculptures. Sony Computer Entertainment Korea seems pretty proud of their creation, because they decided to pass along pictures.

Any chance for a marketing stunt, we suppose. Especially if it's on the beach.

Nice castle and models. ;) That pic shows why Sony is still the coolest. I mean think of the gal that Microsoft tries to promote their products with...Large Marge or whatever her name is.
