Forums - General - Why is everyone so quick to call OBAMA a bad president?

The man has been in office for 6 months - and folks are expecting this ship to be back on course instantly. While he was on the campaign trail, he said it wouldn't be a quick fix. All he promised was change. And he's doing just that.

Most folks - especially folks on the right or Libertarians - are quick to say 'He's a horrible president,' 'He's incompetent' and the like, yet won't ever, ever say how horrible Bush was.

Folks that pissed off should just leave the country, buy an island or go to their happy place. Showing up to town halls with AR-15s isn't gonna cut it.

Really, it boils down to immature, sore losers who will whine for another 7 years. Tools ...

Politicians suck.

Republican, Democrat, independent, I don't care.

Finding an honest politician is probably one of the most difficult things to do.

Durty - Read sqrl's post. Read Mr stickballs post. You think he'll be the president for 7 more years with those kinds of numbers? And please, tell me, what change has he brought so far?

I think it's karma honestly. People were so quick to label him the savior, and when he didn't provide instant results, people go against him.

And I think you're being kinda silly on the Obama and socialist stance. Many do think he's a socialist and they have the right to that opinion.

And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

That video is bias as hell, no where in his speech did he say there would be no trail he just said that some people get away with crime because of tainted evidence. It sound like to me once a POW or terrorist is captured they they go to jail and stay in jail, it's more of a extension of how much time a person can get for committing a crime. Also yes we can put people in jail for a crime they haven't committed,,attempted murder is a perfect example. That person tried to kill someone but haven't but they still get sent to jail. I also noticed they obviously cut up the video so we only hear what they want us too.
As for keeping terrorist in jail...hell yeah, I'm with Obama on that one....that's the point of jail: when someone dose something wrong, you put them in jail to stop them from doing it again.

"Discriminatio" you cant just locked someone just because you think his a terrorist , Obama is proposing we keep people locked up for crimes they have committed and we proved they committed in a court of law, but on the chance that they might commit crimes in the future. there will be no trial, for no crime exists to be charged, nor does this method not help us fight terrorrist but it goes against everything the constitution stands for "the fifth amendment" no one be subject for the same offense to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb, maybe your those kind of people that supports obama even if he wants to shove a  GPS down your ass to see where u are at all moment.

That's just about it.

When Obama got elected, his election was hailed as being something so significant, so game-changing, so amazing, that the world exuded in jubilance as a collective hurrah. People were crying, dancing, and so joyful about this half-black, half-white, Jr. senator with <2 years of senatorial experience.

Some news outlets showed reactions from people that honestly thought he was going to save them from their debt collectors by bailing them out. Personally. Sadly, a lot of people had that kind of mentality in some sort of Barak-is-next-to-Jesus-Christ syndrome.

But the fact is, we got a man. And an inexperienced man at that. I always felt like once people calmed down from the hype, they'd really see that they elected a guy that was eloquent, well-liked, but not the most experienced, or had the clout to do what he promised.

And lets not forget who got elected in with him. The fact is that in order to win a majority in Congress and Senate, the Dems had to 'sell their soul' in the way of electing more Blue Dog Dems - the antithesis of the RINO (Republican In Name Only - akin to Arlen Specter). So he may not even have the ability to give the 'Change We Can Believe In'.

As I've said, I'll reserve judgment when he makes great policy decisions, eases international tension, or does some presidential act that makes me believe he's a good president. Until he does that, he's another Jimmy Carter (who I really like from a personal standpoint).

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

The Day After South Park episode sums it all up.

Mark Mr. Bill's words: He'll be president until 2016. Trust me on this.

What, son, what? New York, New York!!!

Impossibly high expectations.

We often have debates on this site about how expensive HD games are, and when it comes to games like Grand Theft Auto 4 people have difficulty comming to terms with it costing $100,000,000 and representing 1,000 Man-Years of labour ... With the deficit from the US government this year they could develop nearly 20,000 games with a budget similar to Grand Theft Auto 4.

On top of that one would think that the bureaucratic nightmare that is the cash-for-clunkers program might give the government (and its supporters) pause before re-organizing 1/6 of the economy; but no one seems to have the common sense to demonstrate that the new system will work before implementing it on a large scale without consideration of the effects.
