Forums - Gaming - Why do people compare Forza 3 to GT5 graphics?

A) Because everybody loves a good pissing contest and it's the equivalent of each side throwing out their exclusives list for the holiday season.

B) Because Gran Turismo is Sony's biggest franchise and saying something is close to or has surpassed it, just cannot be so. (The situation would be similar to 360 fans and Halo)

The fact is, hardly any people will play both, they'll buy one, enjoy it, and then proceed to claim it's better than the other one without having played it. I don't give a damn what features list you quote, it's all about the gameplay, which you can't judge unless you've, you know, actually played the game. But yeah, I guess it would be impossible to concede that yes Gran Turismo excels in some areas compared to Forza, while Forza excels in others compared to Gran Turismo, but I've yet to see anybody on this site who's an avid supporter of both games.

maybe you cant but find the hd vid of both run it on a big tv and you will see which is clearly better.

Yeah it's pretty sad. Wont change anything though, the games look similar in graphics quality.

And let's not forget the games arent finished yet shall we ;). Iirc Some forza 3 dev said they made remarkable gains in the last 2.5 months since E3.
