i like your logic but sc94597 has a good point cause i ve never played any metroid....but yes i will have lots of friends over especially 2 of my best friends over.....we are planning to stay awake all night for video games but we don't which game will help us do that....

Tough decision, really. I'd say NSMBWii is more suited to the holiday season, if only because of the multiplayer component (only Metroid Prime 2 has it otherwise, and it's lacklustre), though Metroid Prime Trilogy will doubtless have more value overall.

It depends on what you enjoy. I assume you've played Mario games before. If you'd prefer Mario platforming over Zelda meets Megaman (not an exact analogy but as close as I can come I'm afraid) then get NSMBW. Otherwise get Prime Trilogy.

I'd say go with the 3, 20 hr long games because they should last you a good time until Feb. If you are a gamer that sees a big value in Co-Op Multiplayer though, and know you will spend just as much time playing NSMBWii then get that. As of right now it is 3 long single player games vs. 1 extremely fun co-op game that has great replay value, but not much otherwise. So go with whichever lasts you until Feb. or the closest to it. All the games are of high quality, and it is a matter of content.
