41k+ lead and 360 beating PS3 in Japan!

I am going to cherish this moment, because it will probably be one of the last for a good year, if not forever, that MS will be able to grab such a big lead for a week.

I think this was more proof then anything if anyone ever doubted it; that price was the major factor the PS3 struggled for so long. Now that the price is the same as the 360's (if your not counting the arcade of course) things are going to be a lot different from here on out.

Just remember the excuses/reasoning for PS3's numbers when comparing it to next weeks numbers if there's a big spike, it works both ways.

PS3 is doomed!

70k i expect ps3 150k when FF13 releases.

So yeah, all consoles are down. I ordered them roughly from least down to most down percentage wise.

OMG, the Wii is up in Japan, Iwata was right about WSR's long hardware legs!!!

yeah WSR has given it the boost and it has been steadily there at 50k.....since launch..

Take heart - the same thing happened last year when Sony dropped their price by $100. It's mid August, Microsoft likes to grab attention close to the holidays. Sony's sales will skyrocket for a few months, and then MS will come raging back for Christmas.

Aren't we forgetting about a little game called MH3, the Black Wii and the HW bundles? Not to mention it was Obon this week in Japan and hence all systems were up. It was definitely not WSR on it's own, in fact I'd say it was the least responsible for this boost.
