Anyone get AS or A-level results today? [For those who don't know it's the UK's qualification for 16-18 year olds]

I'll post mine later on.

My friend got his A's so he can go to Oxford, he isn't a snob though

Ah A-level results day, I can't believe it's been 4 years since I got mine already. What University are you guys going too? I'm starting my masters at Birmingham this year

I'm applying to Cambridge for NatSci. I'm looking at Durham and Warwick (Physics) too.

I just got my AS module results and they were all over 90% UMS so I'm happy.

90%, congratulations. Are you the first year to get A* grades for A-Levels over 90%? Well done anyway, that's quite an achievement. Durham, Warwick and Cambridge are real top level universitys you've done incredibly well to get in.

I wish I had tried harder in my A-Levels nowdays, I even went to Download festival the weekend before one of my A2 biology exams, then I ended up at a second rate university. Luckily I learned the value of hard work at university and ended up with a good degree and hopefully one day a PhD.

What are you planning to do in the future?

@Bold: these are AS results. I haven't put in my application for any of those unis yet.

I want to do pure physics research. Though I'm sure university will broaden that (Physics degrees can get you a lot of places) and I might end up doing an engineering job.

A* grades are A2 level only, I need to get 90% average on the A2 modules to get it. But since Cambridge is the only uni asking for it and even then only one it may not make much of a difference.

Ah I see, sorry for some reason I completely over looked the fact you have just done your AS levels.

I kind of wish I had done physics, I did Biology and Chemistry, but now I'm older I enjoy physics much more.

Wow, congratulations Soleron just waiting for my GCSE's results next week. Also can I say do University look past your GCSE's or regraded with some value.

Should post mine results next week.

That's what Oxford is for.

I think you need 5 A-C grades to go to Uni, including Maths and English, atleast thats what they told me when I applied.
