I had an Xbox 360 but sold it because there were no games for me on it.My son has an Xbox 360 and although he played Halo3 for the first 2 days is now bored of it.The last game he bought for Xbox360 before this was back in February.

I've also noticed that people don't seem to trade Wii's in, where as my local gamestation has 3 preowned PS3s and 18 Xbox360s!

I guess if families are buying Wiis they are more likely to be played occassionally and left under their TVs for long periods unused than traded in, but single people and teens are more likely to trade them in for another console.

So as long as families keep buying Wiis demand will still be high as there will be few preowned ones to buy.

@llewdebkram Your son also had a PSP, right?

Personally, I may-MAY- pick up a PSP for Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep. I'm a KH nut.

Go for it, DonWii! Don't let anything stop you from playing your favorite games.

Yes, the biggest waste of money ever.

One game bought which was GTA and he instantly lost interest.

He's 14 now and much prefers playing PC games as he has a gaming PC.

You do know GTA is 18+ right? :P

PLAYSTATION®3 is the future.....NOW.......B_E_L_I_E_V_E

Why everyone blames Nintendo? What should they do to please the media?

Case 1 - turnabout console race (PW reference)
Nintendo sucked for being in 3rd place last generation. It was the favorite joke of the gaming media. Nintendo makes a comeback and now is accused of destroying gaming.

Case 2 - The case of the missing AAA game
Nintendo makes awesome games and they sell. 3rd parties can not stand that a Nintendo console is dominated by Nintendo software. What should they do? Make better games? Put their heart and soul into game developing? No, they avoid Nintendo consoles and blame Nintendo for making good games.

Case 3 - The "shitty port/cash-in/low-budget/Wii Play clone" case
Among the best selling Wii games we have Wii Play, Wii Sports, RE 4, Zelda TP, Red Steel. Smart developer sees: cheap game worth a quick play, revolutionary game that focus on gameplay and social interaction, underappreciated game that did not sell what it should last generation + better controls and premium price, new game that came out in 2 different Nintendo platforms + upgraded controls, original ideas and bad execution (good 3rd party support). Dumb developer sees: low budget minigame compilation, gimmick cheap game with crappy looks, PS2 port, GC port + popular character that sell games no matter what, cash in.

Why these 3rd parties try to make their own Wii Play at U$ 50 and expect similar succes level? Why they make minigames compilations in the first place if they have no experience with these kind of games? Why they take PS2 sports games add awkward motion controls and sell it for the price of a new game? Why not make the game from scratch? Should 3rd parties make the games they are used to make or try to mimic Nintendo success? Capcom is the most succesfull 3rd party on the Wii. Just look at their current games and upcoming releases. There is not even a single game that looks like WiiPlay or WiiSports. The only port is a lot cheaper than the average PS2 port and the releases are, for the most part, original.

 Don't tell Jack Thompson!

I have Halo 3 and played it once. I'll go back to finish it after I beat Metroid. As for the sales issue, the Wii has definately slowed in Japan because of lack of software. It hasn't slowed at all in North America and we all know it will sell out this Christmas. With the delay of SSBB, Nintendo now has a steady lineup for the next few months. In this order, Galaxy, Wiifit, SSBB, Kart. What some of are forgetting is that by early next year, the Wii will have a userbase of around 20 million. When you have a userbase that large, you will get respect. It will do it in record time as well.
