But would you feel like its too old to invest in 2009 with a nvidia directx 11 gpu coming this christmas.

Does it include Blu-Ray?  Does it include controls/peripherals that makes it comfortable to play in the living room?  More or less that 2 TFLOPs?  Or is it over 1 but less than 2, so we can evaluate it vs. the 360, too.

i dunno much about computers but if its strong enough to play something along the lines of the sims 3 or diablo iii, last for about 3-4 years before noticeably slowing down, and a laptop i guess. my computers already five years old and slow as hell anyways.

Sims 3 is a bad example.... I have a 5 year old laptop that can run Sims 3 on low settings with a normal FPS rate.

i already got a ps3 so i don't something crazy ass strong, just something that can play a couple of those games that aren't going to be put on consoles. Besides i use my computer primary for schoolwork and porn before video games...

It depends on what the video card is. 7800 is a 7 series, but so is 7300 LE...

If its a high 7 series, sure. If lower, no effing way.

There's alot of 7 series GPU. Back then I Could get a $49 7 series GPU or a $599 one. You need to be more specific when it comes to GPUs.

Also, I don't think 7 series cards can run supreme commander that well. Even the best one. I had a 9600GT and that had some problems.
