The old one looks better to a lot of people, myself included. Other than that, I dunno!

Even so, I'd actually like to get the slim, but B/C is so nice.

Because it's the same price and they might like the look of it more.
Plus the ability to install Linux on the PS3 might lure some people.
The futuristic touch sensitive eject and power buttons on the fat!
