sguy78 - Everyone I know who sells mortgage refinancing and loan modifications live on their black berry. Funny I just said that because I just got backberry message from my mortgage company.

It's a convenience. I had two at one point, and I wound up getting rid of one, and lowering the minutes on the other down to a minimum contract because it was a waste of money. Most of my clients prefer to contact the 1-800 number anyway.

I could believe that for the connivence of your customers. Sometimes it just nice to know they cant directly get a hold of you when you need a break .

Cell phones are really not a necessity.

Of course if you live under a rock or your parents basement I can see why....

I remember back in the way when if someone wanted to chat with their buddy they got off their lazy ass and went over to hang out and chat face to face.

Phones are good, but no conversation lasting more than 5 mins for me.

Look up my man George Carlin on this.

Oh I have heard it before! I laughed my butt off!  Unfortunately they have became a way of life.  I develop software all day and talk to people in other states and and receiving emails on the fly. I cannot imagine going back in time there is no way anything would ever get accomplished.

For business purposes I completely understand the use of a cellphone but for personal use I rather save myself the $600+ a year it costs for me to have one. I can buy much cooler stuff with that.

I don't get much personal spending cash these days.

Hence why I said earlier most employers pay for it .  Before that I just had a regular phone with a $20 month plan with 300 mins and free ngiht and week ends.

Damn... what provider did you have? I had 25 a month with 400 minutes and free night and weekends and incomming calls from us cellular. They were the cheapest that's why I got them. I never used 400 minutes though so I would have preferred lowering it more.

Hey, at least I can tell the secretary not to take so and so's calls when I don't want to take their crap.

JEDE3 - I believe it was sprint. I haven't had to pay for a phone bill in over 2 years. I switched between them all before I found that.

lol that awesome.  I have a service on my phone that tells the caller that they are being directed to me. If I dont like the caller ID it send them to Voice mail as if it was going to my desk.  PPl never know the difference.

Come on, people know when they are going straight to voicemail.

This thread got derailed.

Also: 360 Arcades work fine without any of the extras, and price comparison charts are silly in this situation.

WHERE IS MY KORORINPA 3

Well, there's a nice truth there. And that is that nobody NEEDS a cell phone. People think they do, but sorry, that's just not the case. Go back in time 20 years. Nobody needed a cell phone then, partially because they just didn't exist in the mainstream. And they're not suddenly "needed" now because they exist. To those who think they are a need, I ask this- how am I living without ever owning a cell phone? By the definition of 'need', I would be dead.

Oh, and Kzoe, try getting your facts straight if you're going to do comparisons. Yes, you need a gold live account for online gaming and Netflix. But movie/TV downloads? Silver (the free account) can access those. Prices are $2-$6 on XBL, and $1.99-$6.99 on PSN. With a lower upper end, I'd say MS wins that one. And downloadable games? Same deal. Call that one a draw- it's game price to game price. But... wireless? Really? I need a paid gold account to get my 360 online wirelessly??

I don't want to reply individually so....

1. I DID NOT WRITE THE ARTICLE, SO DON'T CALL ME OUT ON IT SPECIFICALLY. However, I did think its overall logic stands true.

2. HDMI cord no longer in elite and you can get them PSN for the $50. That's subjective. Some will like one over the other for many different reasons. The base fact is they are more similar than they are different, so paying $50 for one is the biggest difference.

4. Do not need 120gb hdd in 360. That's your opinion. PS3 slim has 120gb and the point of the chart is to make the two models as similar as possible. Therefore, for the purposes of that chart you would require the 120gb hdd on the 360.

Basically the point is, when you put the two at the same position, the PS3 is cheaper and has more features (bluray). However, I would still buy the 360 Arcade w/ the 60gb starter kit for $280 total and pay for Live. Why? I don't care about bluray and everyone I know has a 360. Therefore my online experience would be far better. On top of that, the game selection is nearly identical.

I just think that from a pound for pound situation the 360 requires a price cut as people go out to buy one of them and does a comparison of feature sets vs price.
