God damn it Bruce Campbell!!! Answer me!!!

You made him look like a fool.  That's why he ignored you.

Do you like to come into posts and insult people you don't have to face one on one as well?

If I wanted to insult you I would go directly to you and do it.  I didn't insult you.  I was talking to the other dude so get lost.

I think the $50.00 question of Xbox Live is pointless. It's very little money for a better experience.

joke post?

No, $4.50 a month is not a ton of money.

Yes it is. $50 a month for another 3 years is $150. That is quite a bit of money.

Alright, do you have a cell phone? Let's say you pay $55.00 a month at the low end. That's $660.00 a year, and $1,980.00 over three years. Would you give up your cell phone? It is not a lot of money for Xbox live.

Not to interrupt this fun argument.  Cell phones is priced that way because most ppl use them as a necessity.  People no longer need to be tied to a land line and can have access to more then one thing that makes the world go around (Hence why most employers pay for your phone).  You are comparing that with a video game system... In a micro world that is video games xblive and psn are getting pretty close to being the same.  Its up to you if you want to spend money on ms or not.  Better experience is all up to the user. If you are a gamer with a the free multiplayer experience with a gig port I say psn wins. But multimedia yes ms has the upper hand with netflix, facebook and variety of downloadable games applications built right into the dashboard.  But psn has movies, tv shows, downloadable games built into tit too.  For and Extra $30 you can get a media streamer for all of your hulu and netflix.  Plus with the web browser you can see any website and check your email.  So lets compare:

Online gaming: xblive $50 ------ PSN $0 = PSN wins

Online Movie and Tv down Loading: xblive $4.50 + Movie/Tv Price by points ($3-6)  ------ PSN $6.99-$1.99 = PSN Wins

Netflix and Broswer support: xblive $4.50 + $8 netflix + Limited browser ----- PSN $2.50 Stramer + $8 netflix + Free full browser = PSN wins

Downloadable games: Xblive $4.50 + Game Price ------- PSN Game price = PSN cheaper.  (This is up to you depending on the game you like)

Wireless: Xblive $4.50 + Wireless adapter one time pay of $99 ------ PSN + Wireless included free = PS3 Win

Cell phones are really not a necessity.

Of course if you live under a rock or your parents basement I can see why....

Fine, I'll bite. On a personal level, the difference between the two is Party chat. You might think it's not a big deal, but sometimes when the entire room is full of obnoxious morons cursing, yelling and being generally offensive, and you still want to be able to talk to your three man clan, that's where the Party system comes in. Now I'm not saying this is a definitive feature all people must desire, but it makes the difference for me. It also helps when you want to talk to your friends during a match about more personal stuff you don't want the entire room listening in on.

Well if I talked online I would probably see that as a big deal, not $50/year mind you but a very nice feature none the less.

@sguy78

Don't worry about it. Just busting your chops.

Stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid, analogy. How old are you?

It's not a stupid analogy, why do you care what my age is? Why don't you try to make an argument without insulting the other individual?

I full expect you to say your age is 15 and you use your Mommy's and daddy's cell phone to still gossip with your friends.

This would be an insult.

sguy - How old are you? That determines if they are necessary or not. If you just use them to gossip then no they arent.

Of course if you live under a rock or your parents basement I can see why....

There is a diiference between a want and a need.

I remember back in the way when if someone wanted to chat with their buddy they got off their lazy ass and went over to hang out and chat face to face.

Phones are good, but no conversation lasting more than 5 mins for me.

Look up my man George Carlin on this.

Look, it's pointless to argue with someone on the internet who would never dare come up to me in person and talk the way you type.

Oh I have heard it before! I laughed my butt off!  Unfortunately they have became a way of life.  I develop software all day and talk to people in other states and and receiving emails on the fly. I cannot imagine going back in time there is no way anything would ever get accomplished.

Sguy - yes, when you completely take the quote out of context it is an insult. Congratulations. You proved my point about English comprehension.

Euphoria - I agree. I don't need to really have long drawn out conversations. But cells are still necessary.

Sguy - What happens when you are driving down the highway and your engine poops out on you and you need a tow at 2am and the nearest exist are 2+ miles away? What happens when someone tries to mug you in the park at night and your badly injured and need medical attention. What happens when there is a work emergency and you need to be called in but are away from your home? Cells in this modern day is a necessity. They are a safety precaution.
