Spiderman 3 font was not so lucky :(

This is what the PS3 was supposed to be like three years ago when it launched.

I'm not sure if that's right. I read the 3.0 firmware will be available from Sept 1st which will make it available for new Slim owners to upgrade on Day 1, but it won't be preinstalled.

no fw 3.0 is confirmed to be pre-installed on slims

Where was that reported?
Maybe in the future, I can't see it being available at launch, the slim has been in production for a while in order to build up stock. For it to be available at launch FW 3.0 would have had to be complete months ago.

I thought I read that it probably wont be preinstalled when the Slims start comming out, but it will be later.

They've definitely been making slims since July, so I doubt they will have FW 3.0. 1up had a video and when they plugged it in it was running 2.76

I just read an article on Joystiq and they stated in an interview it was said the first game to be re-branded with the new logo/packaging would be Uncharted 2

I like the old design of the cases and think the Gundam case looks awful!
