- - gamescom version is "almost beta"

- nothing taken down from the original version, everything included: every multiplayer map, every multi mode, all the original IA in single mode, all campaign mode from PS360

- DLC not included. Neither Wii Speak/Motionplus.

- Keep evolving Treyarchs engine is one of the ports reasons. Graphic improvements in some textures resolution, general performance, new particle effects. (It looks pretty similar to WaW to me ATM). 30 fps.

- WaW connections numbers on Wii over any expectation, complete surprise and one of the reasons for this game/multi

- online improvements: now up to 10 players, host migration and possibility to invite connected friends

- team is similar to WaWs: from 25 to 30 people

- IWs role: giving engine code last year, MW code now and some supervision

- control: everything is configurable, ala Conduit. Smoother and better. All parameters, new scope setting. Up to 6 presets: from greenhorn to insane;

- squad mate mode is back. Zapper also compatible with single player

- CG/VA/sound effects/ OST from PS360.

- no camera allowed, more stuff soon.

Thanks for the data.

No gimped port, if true. Nice then. It sucks for the 'no dlc' and the 'wiispeak'.

They got only 2/3 months to go and it's still in beta? That doesn't sound well at all. Hmmm.

In the wilderness we go alone with our new knowledge and strength.

There are PS2 games that look better than this. I would mention Gamecube but thats not as surprising as PS2.

NINTENDO

nintendo forever . . .

Near beta with less than 3 months to release?

Sounds like Treyarch is making this on a breakneck schedule, like they did with CoD3. Hopefully they can get away with this because the content and most of the game design was pre-existing.

Nice that they're continuing to refine the Wii engine, not so nice that they aren't including DLC.

Interesting info. If its pre beta, then there's a lot of space for graphical improvements. Treyarch did not disappoint with COD5, Im sure they'll do right with COD4.

Thinking about it, they might start assigning each iteration of COD/MW to them for the Wii. So for every COD that comes out from IW, Treyarch might build the Wii version side by side.

wait. How many players will be online, 25 to 30 or up to 10? 10 would be pathetic... but 30 is an odd number, why not 24 or 32.

25-30 is the number of staff Treyarch has working on the project. Ten is the number of players in an online match.

Ten isn't impressive, but it's an improvement over CoD:WaW's eight player limit. How many players did the PS360 Modern Warefare support, again?

The other version support 6-12. Some modes 10.
