Hey guys,
we just heard that Fable III is on its way. Peter Molyneux said we should expect a late 2010 release. We all know what this means - Xmas-time!
Furthermore we already know that Halo Reach will be a Xmas 2010-tilte as well.
And according to Epics history, a 2010 release of Gears of War 3 is very possible. But thats not all, the highly anticipated Project Natal might release late 2010 as well.
The holiday lineup for 2010 seems to be very impressive already... and in case you forgot, we just have August 09.
Think about it in possible sales:
- Halo Reach: 7-8 million
- Fable III: 3 million
- Gears of War 3: 5-6 million
--> Those three titles might sell 16 million copies. Just to prove how huge this could be: This is almost 50% of the worldwide software sales of the PS3 in 2009 so far. So we are comparing 3 titles vs every game sold on the PS3 in past 8 months.
Of course, it is impossible to estimate the sales of Natal. But considering how the mainstream-, not just the gaming-, media picked this up, I am not doubting a success.
It is a long way to xmas 2010, but till then there will be several big games released, games like:
- Crackdown 2
- Mass Effect 2
- Final Fantasy XIII
- Lost Planet 2
- Splinter Cell Conviction
- Alan Wake
I do believe 2010 will be an awesome year, not just for the Xbox360 owners, but for PS3 owners as well. 2010 is gaming heaven. But the holiday lineup for the X360 is superb.
