In GT5 they will not look any different

Around the Network

Yeah RUF have been in GT since GT2.

In case people dont know who/what RUF is i provided this link

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ruf_Automobile

Why is there no environmental damage, I assume FM3 is the same but when a car scrapes along a barrier wouldn't it be nice to leave some paint marks behind at least. Ignoring the damage nitpicking though it does look very smmoth and the lighting is stunning, still plenty of time to tweak I guess as well.

@ slowmo - yeah id love to see more enviromental damage in games but i think games with this quality of graphics (GT5 & FM3) just wouldnt be able to handle much more effects without impacting on the cars models or having to reduce the amount of cars on the track. I am happy that GT5 does have moveable enviroments. You hit the tyre wall you will see tyres will fly everywhere, barriers will move etc. Which is nicely implemented and shown in these gifs.

DAMN that looks better than GT5P Cant Wait!!!!!!

Porsche + damage on all, make forza a better game. k

I know that you dont know GT series have RUF (search google)

And what forza3 has 400 cars? Thats 400 - 170 = 230 more with damage

When the complete car list of GT5 releases pls come back to troll again

but all of those 400 cars will have damage and that's the thing - Turn 10 made Forza 3 in 2 years(they made new engine, new car and track models, new physics etc). each Forza 3 car have 1mln polygons because of damage i doubt Gran Turismo 5's cars will have more than half of it, because they didn't have to model all parts of the car when it doesn't have damage and it still makes them look as good as those in Forza 3. PD is making GT5 in almost 6 years now and still couldn't add damage to all the cars even though they are getting feedback from many car manufacturers, have limitless budget and more people working on this game than Turn10? they are either lazy or bad at business and licensing negotiations. if Turn 10 could do it in 2 years for 400 cars and i'm talking about Ferraris, Porsches, Lambos etc.(GT5 won't have damageable Ferraris - Yamauchi said that they couldn't get license for those cars) and get licenses for roll overs for all of those cars and PD couldn't make it in almost 6 years - it makes PD look like complete amateurs and developer that you can't take seriously to me.

So for you PD are amateurs. I dont have anything more to say.

Where is waron getting six years development from? Wasn't the game announced in 2006? That was only 3 years ago...

Waron, seriously, stop being such a fanboy. Why is it that damage is the only thing that ever matters when comparing these games? The only argument that was ever made for its importance was that it affected the way you drive and punished you for poor driving. Forza 3's rewind feature completely defeats the purpose of having damage.

rewind feature is just an option and it is useles if you want to have your time in leaderboards. Yamauchi stated that they started working on GT5 in early 2004.

i love the fact that there is NO DEFORMATION in GT5. those guys beat the crap out of those cars bumpers are flying, doors are opened by single bump(even Grid's deformation was more realistic) and yet there's no singly scratch or deformation on those cars, those bumpers and doors looks like new after accident they can't even fall off the car - it's hilarious.
if this is how PD handles deformation? in Forza 3 when you will drive into sand you can see dirt on the car and this.....it's just funny.

I find it more funny that you missed the door that fell off the car
