Forums - Sony - It was all a plan...

i suppose it would work if and nintendo would be scared if they didnt look in the mirror of their jet powered laser rocket car to see Sony trying to catch up in the new cheve Volt.......

but sure i guess it could work

well until nin actually turns on the rockets with a price cut and a few colors....then bye bye sony again

I don't get why people are so certain that Nintendo can do this.  They weren't able to do this with N64 or Gamecube and Wii Sports Resort has not doubled the Wii's install base.

well it really easy

the demand for the wii has always been there as compared to the 64 or game cube

hell we have come this far in the life cycle with only a smattering of bundles and its still putting up large weekly sales numbers

and price cuts are a great way to tap into even greater sales b/c there are a ton of "hardcore" that would by the wii with a lower price point

add in a color and you get a temp boost , add in a few colors and you get an even bigger boost

then when you think about some of the great games that are coming not only from nin but third parties as well you have a little machine that will more then trump any sales PlayStation could pull off in the next 2 years

and after that its a moot point b/c the next systems will be getting ready to roll out and it will become ps3 what? i want the ps4 or the 720 or the super wii

lol at paranoic and mad 360 fanboys. this is a joke thread, if you cant stand someone joking on a product you bought and than start attacking another product, than you are really sad person

Every PS3 fanboy on this site is 14 or a 14 year old boy trapped in a mans body.

Or a 14 year old boy trapped inside a 45 year old man's basement.

Wait, what?

It puts the lotion on the skin or it gets the hose again!

uhm...say hi to PS2. The gap between PS2 (140m) and Wii (51m) is almost 100 million, Wii needs to sell another 90m consoles before this gen ends. i personaly think that's impossible, and by the time wii reaches 130m, PS2 will reach 150m.

and dont give me that ''Wii is selling faster'' crap, because GBA and GB were selling faster than PS2 and PS1 as well, but they didnt outsold them worldwide

You cant buy a dedicated Blu-ray player anywhere for $130, cheapest nowadays is $249.

PS3 is top of the line, the only models that are any better are those priced at $399 and above, also if you like HD, BLURAY is a great UPGRADE from DVD.

Calling the PS3 an"Over priced machine" just shows how ignorant you are, and try to hide the fact it offers more value than any console on the market for its price especially.

So.... I've been lurking on this site for about a year or so, but never felt like posting untill now.  Just wanted to say that it would be a pretty ridiculous bargain to find a BLu-ray player for 130.... no way you could find one at one of America's largest retailers.   Oh wait.

People need to do their research, the vast majority of Blu-ray players on the market have already crossed the sub $300 price point.

i never said it could out sell the ps2

that machine hit all the right note fromt eh gate, good game, to great games, low price b/c it didnt have the top tec, and almost no comp with teh gamecube and xbox

however the ps3 is not in the same boat

sorry by low price i mean later in life

i am sure if the ps3 were 99 it would not be on shelves but then again playstaton would be chp 11
