Forums - Sony - IGN : PS3 Slim unboxing . You CAN swap the HDD

Agreed carl. Like the PSP, i believe the PS3 will go through several model changes.

Nice to confirm that the hard drive is still swappable. Impressive that Sony didn't pull any cheese with an external power brick.

A little disappointing that there are no HD cables included, though. Further evidence that HD isn't important?

My problems with the slim( i guess i shouldnt really care since i have a full BC launch PS3 with 4 USB ports)
-not glossy
-not touch sensitive buttons
-too few USB ports
-not slim enough
I think they could have taken the brick out and the slim would be twice as slim.

PLAYSTATION®3 is the future.....NOW.......B_E_L_I_E_V_E

Consoles owned: Game Cube, Gameboy Color, Gameboy Advance, Nintendo DS, PSP, PS1, PS2, PS3.

My prediction: NATAL WILL NOT help 360 sales. Maybe a 50-100k boost week 1, then a 30-70 k boost week 2, and back to the norm again after 3-5 weeks.

The power and eject buttons on the old PS3 were so cool though =D Remember first turning it on and feeling like I made the right purchase XD

It isn't quite as small as I thought it would be. I mean it's not bad ... just not the dramatic difference the PSOne and PSTwo slimmer revisions were.

It looks like its still bigger than the original PS2.

Why do people want the brick outside the box? I like it a lot better inside. Wii's is small but a pain in the ass sitting in the back of my cabinet behind my Wii.

360's is well, huge.

Sony's design in trying to keep it inside is much preferred.

Make the core product smaller? I dunno.

There never was an HDMI cable included with the PS3.
