@FKN

Haven't you heard. It's because of the weak pound.
That's why when it was two dollars to a pound consoles cost half what they cost in Ameri... oh wait they didn't. Instead they did a 1:1 currency conversion between the £ and $.

I didn't see any of them saying that they would lower prices due to how strong the Pound was back then.

at current rates it seems that £50 is about US$80

Thats pretty substantial in my book.

not $100 substantial, but substantial nonetheless.

I was expecting a cut of $50 at best worldwide, especially seeing as how much more expensive the PSP Go is compared to the PSP 3000

Yeah but the Pound is at a 12 month high against the Euro and Dollar (last week anyway) so surely they shouldn't still be putting prices up? just seems like an excuse for them to get more money from us!

Exactly. It is an excuse.
They've only done it because they can get away with it.

And typical it gets a 12month high against the Euro the week I come back from Germany.

@spankey - a £50 price cut is like a $50 price cut, its not significant enough like the US and EU price cut imo
