The mass market prices of all parties concerned helps, along with the perceived notion of an economic recovery. I think we may see some positive things happening soon.

Well last holiday season was absolutely collosal. It would be hard to think that with lower numbers all around this year that the holiday season would be too much bigger. But given big games such as ODST, Modern Warfare 2, Wii Fit Plus, New Super Mario Bros Wii, and Assassin's Creed 2 releasing that sales might get a boost simply because software will. Not to mention DSi will go into its first holiday season which is a good thing. PS3 will have a lower price point and I'm assuming Nintendo and Microsoft will have something to at least counter that.
So it has the setup to potentially be bigger but once again with the rest of the year's sales down it's still got quite an uphill battle.

I really mean for the year. I should have pointed out that I did not mean to compare to last year's holiday sales.
If Nintendo cuts the Wii price ... maybe. If not ... no. PS3 cut and a shuffling of the 360 bundles isn't enough to offset the recession blues. The industry is driven by the market leader, not the no.2/3 guys.
I hope so i hope they all can get good or decent holiday sales.

I hope we hear from Nintendo soon.
Well, were there infinite PS3's sold LAST year? I don't think so. Greater sales this year confirmed!

What?
With the PS3's price cut, expect it and the 360 to duke it out this holiday season.

I predict PS3 sales ad infinitum from here on out.
