LOL yeah, my friend just bought a PS3 this past weekend when Madden came out... I told him to hold off on it but he didn't wanna wait.  He got it at Best Buy, so maybe if they drop the prices in the next few days they'll honor it.

The ps3 has stronger upcoming line-up.

The 360 lineup is in fact pretty sterile.

I'm sure Bestbuy will allow that.

Why on earth does MS need to respond at all?
They've already caused enough damage to Sony this gen and made a big enough impact as it stands to just keep on trucking as is.

With the stellar lineup coming in software (Although I wouldn't hold my breath for Natal, it smells like it's going to be a dead fish for me) they've really got very little to worry about.

I think if you had to go back in time before the 360 launch and tell the MS guys just what an impact their console has made to so many, and continues to make I think they'd be very pleased indeed. (Although their mouths would hit the floor a bit at the news of the Wii's success!)

I would like to see how a new 360 Hardware revision (i.e. slim model) would do...

But Left 4 Dead is like expected to only be the third best selling exclusive!!! ;_; Thats cruel... and pretty unusual too. I wouldn't want you to imprison any Sony fans outside the U.S. as other countries don't have any provisions preventing that kind of punishment.

Assuming GT5 is released for the holidays, it will handily outsell L4D2.

Personally, I don't see it happening given the GT Portable release for the holidays, but it's not out of the question.

Either way, one game does not make a line up filled with "wow" even if it's your personal most anticipated game of the season.

Considering that both the PS3 and the 360 will have almost identical line ups minus a handful of exclusives, it's still pretty pointless to say one platform or the other has a poorer offering based on anything other than personal preferences.
