I wonder how the story will pick up from the first game in terms of the Reapers and such. I'm a bit puzzled how finding out why humans are disappearing has to do with it.
I think kotaku needs to proofread what they write:
BioWare has revealed the second party member to join Commander Shepard's motley crew in "BioShock 2", Grunt, a violent and unpredictable Krogan fighter.

I just hit the jump and they have it fixed already. I actually didn't notice it at all the first time I read it, all I heard was "Shepard" and "new crew member" and I immediately started the video playing...
