Why not the DS?

I don't understand publishers.

Why not DQIX to PSP? I don't understand publishers.

Anyways, what happened to Persona 2?

They think Persona 3 would make more money. They don't have to do much work to port P3 over to the PSP. I think that's what happened.

Here are some screenshots and videos of P3P:

Notice that the main characters are replaced by a cursor when you're roaming the halls and the city. Kinda lame if you ask me; at least they're present when dungeon crawling. Also the new music isn't good imo. Oh well, at least the load times are faster - must be the install. Last thing - Junpei, Ken & Yukari social link for the new girl.

Edit: RPGFan is reporting that P3P will not have The Answer. http://www.rpgfan.com/news/2009/410.html

The battle theme sounds pretty bad. I'm not liking that they replaced the main characters with pointers, looks kinda boring. The game still looks pretty good, though.

Could we get them in order please. I'd love to have the whole series to play in portable bite sized chunks.

Female hero option. My girlfriend will love that.

The pointer thing is understandable since the PSP doesn't even have the processer of a PS2. Not liking the music though. If were lucky, that music will probably be for the girl protagonist while the boy protagonist will have the original music though it doesn't seem that way. I want to play P3 since I haven't played the original version or FES. Sucks that the Answer is being taken out.

I actually like the graphical/camera changes. It gives it a more 'portable' feel to it. I agree about the music, but knowing me, I'll end up liking it after playing the game a bit.

Am I the only one who thought that The Answer was terrible from a story perspective? The ending of the main game was perfect, and didn't need to be watered down.

Slightly off topic, but did anybody see this a couple of weeks ago?

Hmm, the music is okay, but I still like the old soundtrack more. Hope you can play the old tracks too, even if it's only when you play as Arisato.
It really doesn't bother me that you select your destination now with cursors, since it's a portable game and all and it speed's up the games pace a little. Although I don't know if it's for good or bad.

All in all, looking good.
