Forums - Nintendo - We're Moving Into The Halloween Season...

Maybe you can import Nanashi no Game by Square Enix for the DS from Playasia.

Here is a description of the game:

In this DS title, you play as a character whose friend disappears from school one day. Exploring the friend's home, you discover that he'd just taken delivery of a videogame. While resembling a classic 2D RPG, this game is actually said to be cursed. It's believed that those who play this game die within a week.

The game -- the DS title, not the cursed one -- takes place from the first person. You play by holding the system rotated 90 degrees, like a book, with the world expanding out before you in 3D on both screens. All your actions are controlled with the stylus -- everything from moving forward and looking up, to opening a door.

Outside of being a rare first person 3D game for the DS, the title also makes use of a technology that makes two speakers produce 3D sound. You'll apparently be able to hear sounds coming from behind you. Square Enix recommends that players play the title with headphones.---IGN

If Nintendo is successful at the moment, it’s because they are good, and I cannot blame them for that. What we should do is try to be just as good.----Laurent Benadiba

Around the Network

Dementium is a great little game with one or two major flaws. Mainly the fact that creatures respawn, which just doesn't work in it's horror atmosphere. "I just battled through 4 monsters and lost half my health to get to the end of this halway and... OH BALLS! I went the wrong way, time to go back through the door and fight the same 4 damn monsters again!"

That part really starts to get on your nerves, so be sure to follow your map really really damned well.

And a tip if your going to get in to this otherwise great game. The flying heads take something like 6 bullets to kill, but you only have to hit them with the club once. So instead of running around panicing waisting all your ammo. Just bop'em on the head.

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.
