Forums - Microsoft - Eye-popping Stats for 1 vs. 100!

Okay...I knew the game was being well received and all, but this is totally awesome...and this is a freaking BETA!

1vs100: 2.5 Million Downloads, 200k+ Playing In A Single Night

No doubt flushed with the unexpected success of it all, Microsoft this morning released some statistics for their Xbox Live party/quiz title 1 vs 100. Most importantly, that it's been downloaded 2.5 million times.

Also disclosed were the records for players in one night (230,000 in North America, 215,000 in Europe), as well as simultaneous players (114,000 in a single session in North America, 79,000 in the UK & Ireland).

For reference, the game is only currently available in the US, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany and France.

Impressive..

This is really fun to play with a bunch of mates in party chat as long as you all live in the same regions :P

It's not out here but is this really with 101 players at the same time or is the competition filled with computer players? If it's the first then I can see why this is so sucesful, it would be like watching 1 vs 100 but then actually being one of the players. Definatly a new way to fuse two types of entertainment.

Yeah this game with friends is a blast.

it's basically the crowd who just answers questions to boost scores while;

1 player gets to deck it out against 100 mob people in a bid to win MS points from the mob or the week's prize.. which have been a laptop and 40" LCD TV..  The most I've seen the "one" win is 6000 MS points.   If the "one" loses then the ms points will be divided and a XBL game of that week will be awarded to the remaining mob

The crowd don't win anything except just boost scores but I think they get entered into some sweepstakes... (don't hold me on this tho..)

I'm not sure who gets to be in the mob, the "one" or in the crowd as imo it just seems random

I think the beta is gonna end soon and they will be giving away a real car as the final beta prize here in UK

Looks like it will be a very nice success.

In the 1 vs. 100 games...there is one player, and the 100 are pulled out of the crowd...and you compete.  BUT...in the game, there are thousands...you just don't get to  be in the 101 pool.  Btw...what sense would it make to include computer players in the count?  No...they are real people playing...with live calls into the show on break...this game will be a sensation at launch.
