As I was trying the project gotham 4 demo the game frooze. I tried it again and though it went further this time it froze again. Now yesterday another demo froze once though it worked fine after that. The previous day Halo 3 froze while playing multiplayer again I changed it and played guitar hero 2 for a few hours and nothing happened.
Going back to today with project gotham 4 I just decided to call MS to get it replaced though I figured since it was freezing ramdonly I wouldn't be able to show what was hapenning to the tech person. Still I was going to call it in even if as precaution to get it fixed way before my favorite game coming this year Mass Effect is released. Well to my surprise the 360 just crapped out completely LOL. We tried Gears of War and froze, tried guitar hero 2 and froze, tried crackdown and it froze. After that it would just freeze at the Xbox 360 logo after taking 5-10 second to boot up. All this time the light on the 360 was green until finally after all the reboots it gave me the 3 rings of death. Once I told him it was time to get all the information to have it sent to MS for repairs though even without the red lights that shit was going to be sent to repair. This is the second time I am sending a 360 to be repaired and the first time I never recieved the red lights as it was just ramdonly going back to dashboard by itself. The one I recieved back was a refurbished one.
Well thats my crap out 360 story. Not too dissapointed since I already played the hell out of Halo 3 with friends and all I care for is having that shit working for Mass Effect. Hopefully they can apologize with an hdmi replacement with the new falcom chip or whatever. I usually share all the good things the 360 has going for itself but you have to also share the bad to keep things in perspective. As I told my cousin who is on his third 360 as long I can play the games I want it sucks but can live with it. Hopefully like him 3rd time is a charm so far lol.
*By the way I strongly recommend the 360 2 year warranty on top of the 1 year one so 3 years total and can be renewed which if you use a credit card comes to about $30 and it covers just about everything and as often you need it replaced or fix. Freaking circuit city tried to sell me some crap warranty where I had to renew it anytime I replace it lol.
