Forums - Sales - How do you feel about telling others about your interest in game sales?

Does anyone here ever tell people abou their interest in tracking video game sales?

Do you keep it to yourself or do you like to bring it up with others? Is it too nerdy?

What do other people think when you do?

I've noticed it's a very rare interest and very few can relate unless they are hardcore gamers. Would you mention it on say, facebook or myspace.

And I don't believe there are any girls with this interest unfortunately; especially the one's you are interested in ;)

So how do you see it and what's your experience...?

I pretty much just keep it to myself.

I have yet to come out of the closet to my friends and family about my interest in game sales.

People find out if they're really close to me, it's not something I parade around but I don't hide it either.. My mum, sister and girlfriend know along with a couple of friends (although they just think it's part of being a Nintendo fan :P)

I tend to switch tabs or minimize the web page when my parents are around.

That's funny. So you don't even want your parents to know! Wouldn't wanna worry them any more!

So...

Looks like people keep it to themselves until they are really comfortable with the person.

So when asked what your interests are in class or around friends or girls you pretty much mention other things right? Does anyone even mention video games in general as their interest or hobby...?

Not much they don't really care or are too dumb to understand.

Same here.

I've never told anyone. I switch tabs or minimize, like what teder does when a relative or friend is around. Either that, or they don't have a clue what I'm doing.

Hell yeah!!!! I'm not gonna let anyone know about my dirty little secret!!
