4 player co-op better be local too, and i agree, Marcus should show more emotion.

about the release date, it should be 2010 according to the cycle.
Gears 1-2006, Gears 2-2008, then Gears 3- 2010.

Great thread. I think we need online that orks out of the box instead of 3 updates later. Hopefully for the sake of there fanbase it will be Xbox 360 Exclusive, please Microsoft. Good artstyle and classic same Gears gameplay.

aside from horde gears 2 just didnt grab me online like number 1 did



Last year's game of the year turned out to be Silent Hill : Shattered Memories (online GOTY was COD 6).  This year's GOTY leader to me is Heavy Rain.

Great thread. I agree that Gears 3 is in the works but will probably be a 2011 release. I like some of the points outlined above.

With Halo ODST and Reach releasing it gives 360 fans an opportunity to enjoy other titles while the Gears team continues to fine tune the 3rd (and possible final) game in the series. I don't anticipate a 2010 holiday with Reach and Gears 3 competing with each other, so more time for an amazing Gears 3 release is always a good thing.
