Oh wow, they really do expect GT PSP to bomb in Japan.

I'm also surprised in their lack of faith in DS legs.

The Tales PS3 figure they have seems about right to me, its looking like it can do 150k in sell through week one, so it will need a fairly big shipment.

So the pre-orders are looking pretty good?

I'll be getting the D/L version of GT PSP, as will thousands of others. Once again. the inability to track D/L numbers makes all this a bit pointless.

Sony will release the numbers just like they did with the GT5:P. That's all that matters.

Currently playing on PS3: God of War III

Currently playing on Xbox360: Final Fantasy XIII

Currently playing on NDS: Chrono Trigger

I thought with the way PSP software is selling over there a portable GT would do pretty well...

Very low expectations for GT PSP, very high expectations for TOV PS3

PD releases the numbers, but yeah.

I think they are a little low on GT PSP but you have to remember that GT is more of a home console game - few racers do well on handhelds and GT is down in popularity in Japan lately. I'd expect it to crawl to 500k with budget releases etc.

Maybe, but 500k for a mainline game is still too small a number:

Main series:

Gran Turismo (Japan) - 2550k

Gran Turismo 2 (Japan) -1710k

Gran Turismo 3 (Japan) - 1890k

Gran Turismo 4 (Japan) - 1260k

Prologues/spin offs:

GT5P (Japan) - 650k

GT4P (Japan) - 790k

Gran Turismo Concept 2001 (Japan) - 430k

I actually expect Gran Turismo PSP to outsell Gran Turismo 5 in Japan....but then again I expect MH3 to sell 1.8 million LTD in Japan and well that's gonna happen, so

Im confused did Tales of vesperia sell like that or is it prediction?

Is GT PSP even mainline? 500k does seem on the low side though.

GT4 did a million, so 500k seems a realistic number.
