Bush wasn't the alternative, McCain was.

And I would have said when he got elected, that for some things he would have been better. I expected him to reduce the war effort. He expanded it, and right now has a major offensive going on in Afgan (that no news media is covering).

The other major thing Bush did that people hated, was wiretapping, and all the spying on Americans we do. I fully expected him to get rid of that, but not a chance.

Yea, for all the things Bush sucked at, Obama is the same or worse. I do hope the next guy is better. I can't imagine what it will be like if the next guy is worse then the last two.

They covered Afghanistan a bit.  On CNN the other day I saw that according to a general for the first time we were actually losing.

Which... is actually really sad.

I can understand why though.  He's focusing so much at home he doesn't really have the time to go over and meet with the Pakistani government... and until they get the go ahead he either needs to risk fucking up their country too and dragging them in.... or slowley lose the war.

Even if he did... who knows if he could accomplish anything.  To get the Pakistani's to help with the Taliban he'd have to convince the Indians to give conssessions to the Pakistanis. 

 

And we have nothing the Indians want... except the Pakistanis possibly giving concessions.

he just picked the wrong year, and thats too bad. if he ran instead of bush jr a long time ago some things might have been better.

Kuuthra and Pyramid Head,

I'm curious, what makes you move to Canada? From my perspective with Swedish cold weather, it seems like a rotten idea unless it's for a short period.

My wife is from Toronto, which was reason enough. Free healthcare is pretty neat too?

And I like the cold weather. It's nice.

Last year's game of the year turned out to be Silent Hill : Shattered Memories (online GOTY was COD 6).  This year's GOTY leader to me is Heavy Rain.

What tipe of temperature region USA u moving from? Warm, desert, tropical, woody, snowy, rocky?

snow isnt so bad tho i hate it so much its not even funny

still tho if you live in the downtown toronto, everythin is indoors or undergraound really, add in taxis and you can almost skip winter really.

I'm form Louisiana, one of the hottest and most humid parts of the country. I think we're technically sub-topical.

Also coincidentally one of the worst states in the union when it comes to healthcare... and espiecally government run healthcare.   It's pretty much them and California.
